Tanner Hostetler '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'5" point guard that loves the game of basketball.   It has been my favorite sport since I can remember, even though I  have also played soccer, softball and run track and cross country.   I started playing competitively after my 4th grade year by joining a club team of 6th graders.   Since that time, I've played every chance I get, never missing an open gym opportunity or the chance to play in an extra tournament on a club team outside of my high school season.    Hard work is at the core of my personality, and I've tried to be an overall well rounded person, on and off the basketball court- from being a 4.0 student throughout high school to running at state in cross country and track to going on missions trips during the summer months. I have a lot of speed, quickness and endurance.   Some  games this past season, I never came out- rest comes AFTER the game is over!  I was the team MVP and top free throw shooter this past year.  I was also first team all-league and 2nd team all district.  My desire is to play at a collegiate level where I will be utilized to my fullest, so whatever level that is, I am open to it.   I am also open to colleges in almost any area of the country, but I am specifically looking in the middle to eastern United States.  I would prefer a college that is small or medium sized, and a Christian college would be great.  I would like to major in exercise science or exercise physiology.
