Ashlynn Dawson '20 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Ashlynn Dawson and I am a 5'7" 125lb point guard from Forest Grove High school. I am very lucky to have been able to play basketball since I was very little, my love for the sport and my competitive drive have shaped me into the athlete that I am today.  During my sophomore year of school I moved from Morgan High school during the middle of basketball season, where I played on the sophomore, JV, and Varsity team; To Hood River Valley High School, where in just a week and a half I was starting Varsity as a point/shooting guard. My junior year of basketball I made my final move to Forest Grove High School and started point guard for the whole season. I feel that we had a very successful season, but we fell short in the playoffs. Everyday my excitement for the upcoming season constantly grows and I am looking for ways to help improve my game so I am better equipped to lead my team into the next season.

    I am a very unselfish team player and as point guard I do my best to help set my teammates up for success. I have played multiple other sports including, cross country, golf, lacrosse, and soccer. I am a very adaptable and coach-able player and I am very eager to learn and continually improve my game.  I am the type of player who never quits or gives up, even when we are losing, and I pride myself in my positivity.  My hope for college is to not only accomplish my goals on the court, but those in my schoolwork as well.
