Personal Statement

All my life I’ve grown up around basketball. Whether I was going to watch my dad play every Sunday or a game was just on tv, basketball has always been a part of my life. I never realized my love for it until I started playing. I have found myself every summer since 4th grade spending hours and hours putting in work. Seeing my improvements makes me want to keep working harder. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that basketball doesn’t just bring you competition but it teaches you how to be mentally tough, become an amazing teammate, helps keep you motivated in the classroom, and best of all basketball can help create some of the best friendships. On offense, my strengths are my ability to spot up shoot anywhere on the court, bringing range out to the 3-point line and driving to the hoop. I have great ball handling skills along with fantastic court vision. On defense I get my hands on a lot of passes and anticipate really well.

I am a leader on and off the court. I am the ASBEC secretary of my high school. I have been the captain of my basketball team my sophomore and junior year, and wish to maintain that role as a senior.

I am maintaining an unweighted 3.9 GPA while taking honors classes, AP classes, and competing as a three sport varsity athlete.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
