Of all the sports I have played basketball has been the most exciting and has the most positive effect on our family. I started basketball in fourth grade and I grew to love it. Every time the season is over, I am already looking forward to the next season with my teammates and coaches. Playing college basketball is an amazing opportunity for me since I love the sport and I would be the first in my family to play at the college level.
I strive to make academics my first priority because it is of such great importance when being accepted into colleges, being able to play, and helping to maintain a good work ethic. Being a point guard takes responsibility but I love doing it because it teaches me to make smart quick decisions. I made the honor roll my first year of high school. I also participated in the extracurricular choir which for the high school students is in concert choir. I am very involved in the church including youth group and service projects around our city. I do participate in track during the spring but when I am not doing that, I am usually doing basketball. I do fall basketball, our regular season, and summer basketball. I also help with camps for the youth program and at my church.
My goal is to become an obstetrician-gynecologist. My hope is to go to college close to my family but still be somewhat independent. I would love to play for a division II team but I am also open to other divisions as well.
