I want to be a great basketball player, my goal is to go to a great school and also have the chance to continue my athletic career as well. I want to major in nursing, something important to know is education always comes first for me. Outside of education, basketball is my life. I train and always strive to be the best player I can be out on the court. I always give 110% and I never settle for my best. There is always room for improvement and I’m looking for my next challenge in my athletic career, in my eyes that’s the collegiate level.
I am a great canidate for teams because I play both the PF and C positions. I am 6’0 and use my length and height to my advantage. Whether it be to grab rebounds or throwing an assist because I can see over most. Along with being lengthy, I also work on my other skills such as dribbling and speed. I am usually the first on down the court on every play. My first reaction is to get to the rim and then protect the perimeter, I was always taught to guard “inside out.” I am slim and out run most of my opponents. I thrive at running the floor and making inside moves. I work on post moves and wing/ dribbling skills up to 3 times a week. I am a fast learner and training gives me the motivation to be great. I am a great teammate, I find it my job to help other in and out of practices, welcome in any new or younger players, and I talk a lot on the court. I’m big on communication, whether that be to my teammates, to coaches, or even in education. I ask questions and catch on quick and love to teach others and help others. I feel like I’m more of a team player than a selfish player. I am different from most because I strived to learn and get better, but never settle. I am very hard on myself but it pushes me to do what I know I can achieve. Education comes first for me and basketball comes next. I skip out on social events to train and put my all in to what I put myself into. I am a smart, witty, character that loves to make people laugh.
My openness to colleges all depends on the educational options and the location. I would like to stay on the west coast, close to family. I am looking to major in nursing, so that is another big factor I am searching for. With athletics I am looking to play for a competitive to semi-competitive team.
