Over my high school years I have played sports year round and up held my academics to a very high standard. However, this was not simple and very difficult at times. As I am coming home late from games and having homework and studying. I still managed to get it done and to go to school focused and ready to learn and being in the top percent of my class. This challenge that I have overcome helped me to prepare for the competitive and difficult major of nursing. In college I will have more time in between classes and time on my own than high school, but playing a sport takes away that time. I plan to study hard and continue the determination and motivation that I had in high school through my college experience while playing basketball. While playing all the sports I participate in, I learned that each sport teaches you different things and how to be a better teammates in different ways. These skills and understanding of what being a teammate, means having experienced so many tough times and moments through my sports, makes me a better teammate and a very coachable player.
