Personal Statement
Practice, good work ethic, leadership, competitive and a great teammate are all words that describe me!
I have spent many hours on the court since I was in 3rd grade and am enjoying every minute of it, playing for my school and club teams. I am a 3 sport varsity athlete. I play volleyball, run track but my favorite sport is basketball. Since I was little I always wanted to play basketball at the collegiate level. I constantly set goals for myself both on and off the court to help me attain this goal. Being a 3 sport athlete requires good time management and discipline to get your school work done and get good grades. I have been working very hard beginning of my junior year and am proud to have made the honor roll and was selected to enroll in AP class. My hard work is paying off!
I want to attend a college that is a great fit for me both academically and athletically. I am hoping to pursue a career in the medical field, such as nursing or Xray technician. My teammates and coaches are my greatest friends and who I look to for advice, they are like my family.
I am especially proud of being nominated Athlete of the Week both my sophomore and junior years for track, volleyball and basketball. Junior year I made the All-State First Team for volleyball and also All-Star First Team. My basketball season I have made the All-Star First Team, I am hoping to make the All-State Team, we just won the PIAA DISTRUCT 3 AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! My freshman and sophomore years of track I placed in districts and states and made the All-Star First Team.
My coaches tell me that my ability to jump very high, my quick ball release, 3 point shooting, a high basketball IQ and my speed all make me an athlete that you may be looking for to join your team. I currently hold our school records in the 100m dash and 4x100 team relay and placed in states this year. I enjoy playing in big games in big venues. I appreciate every opportunity I get to walk on the court and hope that my skills fill a need for your program.
