Personal Statement
In the classroom, I am a straight A student (4th in my class of 564). I plan to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, so my focus on academics during my undergraduate experience is extremely important. Outside of academics, I participate in marching band, symphonic band, and coordinate a basketball program for students who are developmentally disabled called Shooting Stars.
On the court, I am a 5'10" combo guard. Having had the unique opportunity to play every position on the court due to my height, I have learned the game from each of those perspectives. I know the benefit of playing a team game and using the talents of every player on the court. Averaging about 10 points a game, my contributions are based on a “team first” mentality. I am also of the mindset that defense wins games! I would describe myself as a student of the game and always push myself to keep learning and improving my skills as a player and teammate.
