I have been playing basketball since I was a little girl, probably around the age of five or six. Since my first step on the court, I could tell I wanted to play the sport I would grow up to love. I know that getting into a college for basketball is a hard thing to do. I know that I will have to be focused, ready, energetic, and inspired to play the game.
Some things that are good about me on the court would have to be that I have strong ball handling skills, soft hands, and I am capable of working with a team. I try to be a good example while playing, but when I'm off the court I also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and try my best to learn while working players and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. I was the only freshman on my team full of all sophomores and juniors. This was our last year without seniors on a varsity team. Next year we will have our first team with seniors.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I try my best to get the best grades I could get. If I can't get the grade I wish for on a test, or project, I will try to do something to get extra credit for the assignment. I am a hard worker, I try my best to not let my grades get down, and I try to make sure my teachers, and school staff know that.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the court at all times. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match that suits me. I hope to become a great role model on and off the court, to the team, and to classmates, even teachers. But the thing that matters most to me is to make my parents proud and be able to say thats my daughter. When I'm on the court and off.
