Personal Statement
I have been playing basketball since I was 6 years old. Each year I play, my love for the sport grows. For most of my career, I have switched off playing point guard and shooting guard, depending where I am needed for that game. The strongest part of my game is my shooting. I have extensive range beyond the 3 point line and am able to create my own shot. Along with that, I am also able to attack the basket off the dribble and finish around the rim. Another one of my strengths is my awareness of the court and being a team player.
As a freshman, I played full varsity and at the end of the season, I received 2nd Team All-Division and All Rookie Team awards, despite tearing my ACL, MCL, meniscus during the playoffs. After coming back from my injury, at the end of my sophomore year, I received another second team all division honor and led my team in scoring to winning the 2021 RIIL State Championship.
In my junior year, my high school team Ponaganset High School, moved up to Division 1 and we won the 2022 RI State Championship! I was voted by the RI Coaches Association to 1st Team All State, 1st Team All Class, and 1st Team All Division. I also lead the state in 3 pointers and assists, and was in the top 3 for overall points scored.
