Personal Statement
One of my biggest accomplishments in basketball is playing HS Varsity Basketball as an 8th grader. I was able to come in and make an immediate impact on the game. I was not only pulled up to play HS Varsity because of my offense but also because I have a high basketball I.Q. I love learning more about the game of basketball. While, I feel, you have to be able to play in a physical way, you also have to have a knowledge of the game and be able to play mentally. I play with a lot of fire, passion, and energy. I not only take a lot of pride in my offensive game but I also take a lot of pride in my defense. I work very hard on improving my all around game and spend a lot of time in the gym. I love expanding my game and knowledge on both offense and defense. I am working hard to develop my all around game so as not to be seen as a one dimensional player or as just a shooter b/c I have an awesome 3 point shot. The more I can learn, the better I can be and the more I can grow.
I believe there is always room for improvement and hard work and dedication is the foundation of improvement. I am a very hard worker and have a great work ethic. I am the first one in the gym and the last one to leave. I am 16 years old and 5' 10" with hopefully more room to grow. I m working daily on improving my game as well as getting bigger and stronger in the weight room.
My GPA is 3.668. I work hard on maintaining good grades in the classroom while balancing athletics with school. After all, we are student-athletes and without proper grades you cannot play. I believe by pushing myself not only in athletics but also in academics is only bettering myself and my future. I plan to work very hard this offseason and get bigger, better, and stronger.
