After tryouts in 5th grade, I can remember running to my mom and telling her that I made the team. In 6th grade, I remember running to her and saying the same thing, but that I had made varsity. 7th and 8th followed and they were awesome years for me. In 8th grade, I averaged 15 points per game, and I was the leading scorer. At the end of the year, I got defensive award. A step up from 8th grade to freshmen year wasn't going to be easy, so I had to put in work. Every day after school, I would have my mom swing me over to the Methodist church in our town and I would play pickup with the boys. After they left, I would pull out Steve Alford and do his shooting and dribbling drills. I'm telling you, I worked hard. The real why reason you need me on your team is because I will work hard, I was raised up in a church, my parents disciplined me and my brothers well, I am a honors student, I'm in gifted, I'm a Christian, a good listener, open minded and most of all I play ball.
