Personal Statement
My name is Sydney Hurst and I am a two sport athlete. My love for both of the games started at a young age but my passion has always been softball. I am a church going girl, I go almost every Sunday with my mom. At the age of four is when I got into the game. My mom used to play every weekend and watching her do what she loved made me want to do the same. I have spent most of my life on ballfields and I couldn't imagine it any different. Throughout the years of playing this sport I have learned that if you work and put your mind to something, you can achieve it. It is not a sport about you, you have a whole team behind your back there for you and ready to pick you up. My academic focus for me in high school right now is to gain knowledge and understanding of the subjects given and to maintain a high GPA. In college I wanna focus on being a Child Life Specialist. I love being around kids even if I'm just helping or playing with them. I have not had any big obstacles come up while playing this sport. I am a team player with great eye hand coordination and I am very competitive.
