Personal Statement

My name is Jacqueline Carrasco, I usually go by Jae.  I am a very out going and spirited young lady. I am hard working and determind.  When I put my mind to something, I strive hard to accomplish it.  I pray before everything because I know he is the one that puts me where I need to go.  I have played basketball since I was in second grade. My dad was my coach during my years of club ball, then I played both club ball and middle school basketball.  I entered high school and made Varsity my sophmore year. I take advice to heart and really try my best to do my best.  I made captain my senior year.  I try hard to be a leader and a role model on and off the court.  I would love to play basketball for West Texas A&M but would love the opportunity to just play basketball at the college level. I am at the gym before the sun comes up and leave as the sun sets.  I travel to team camps in the summers and stay in shape all year.  I am always practicing my shooting any chance I get. I am an outside shooter but still drives in anytime I get the chance. I usually have an average of 12 points, 5 steals, and 7 assist per game. I am 5'7" and weigh 130lbs.  I workout in the gym lifting at least 3 times a week, I bench about 95lbs. I ran cross country my senior year to get conditioning training. I plan on majoring in education and athletic training in college.  I have a younger sister that is like my best friend and  I try really hard to keep setting great goals for her to follow. My family is my world and I am very close to them.  I like to stay involved in my community and in school.  I am a hard worker and would love to show what I have to offer.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
