I was five years old when I told my mom I was going to be the first girl in the NBA. My goals are slightly different about where I want to take my love and passion for the game of basketball, but the passion and desire to live a basketball-centered life is just as strong as it was when I was only five and knew basketball was the greatest game in the world. I am the youngest of four siblings, and like my elder sister and brothers, I have always been encouraged to serve through my passion. I began coaching basketball and found great joy in not only playing the game, but also breaking it down, analyzing it, and coaching it. As I go through this NCSA journey, I do not know which college I will end up at, but I do know that I am a committed and dedicated student-athlete. I have grown up making sacrifices for this game that I love whether they were five am workouts or missed time hanging out with friends for extra time at the gym. I have also always been centered on the fact that I am a student before an athlete and my grades and school performance are key for me to be able to continue my game. I am uncertain about exactly what I want to study in college at this time, but I know I want to use what I study or the degree I obtain to work in a field that will allow me to work with the skills I obtain as a student-athlete.
