Basketball is my passion and I have enjoyed playing basketball since I was in kindergarten and aspire to pursue playing in college and beyond. As a combo guard (PG/SG), Scouts and coaches have commended my court vision, ball handling skills, game sense, high shooting percentages and my fierce defense ability. As a starting combo guard, I have started my Varsity season strong as a Freshman with average of 22 points, 8.5 steals, 6.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. I have had 1 triple double and 4 double doubles in the season so far. These stats highlight some of my core competencies like high shooting conversions, making defense my priority that sets the tone for my team, creating open shots and valuing every possession by minimizing turnovers and going for defensive and offensive rebounds.
I can lead by example by working hard, encouraging others along the way. Being a multi sport athlete has taught me the importance of teamwork, hard work, communication, and leadership.
I have been with Texas Elite club team for last 9 years, which has helped me build lifelong friendships, and it has taught me not to give up in the toughest moments and become a consistent finisher, in a game or life. While we have had 500 plus game wins over the years including AAU super regionals wins, I’ve also had my fair share of humbling moments, like recently missing a game-winning free throw. Basketball has taught me to graciously accept defeat when a game is lost, learn from my mistakes, and be prepared for the next game.
In my free time, I love working on building and coding in robotics; I have been involved in robotics since 6th grade. As a captain of the robotics team this year, I led my team to win best Product innovation award as well as Character appreciation awards. I have all As in my Freshman grade report and I intend to take AP courses when offered. I hope to pursue my studies in STEM and play basketball for college.
