Michaela Terry '18 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a senior at Evadale High School and a member of the volleyball and basketball programs. I have always had a desire to play basketball from as long as I can recall. The influence of my parents and my brother has given me the opportunity to become the player I am today. Through my faith in God and help from coaches and teammates, I have acquired a sense of selflessness and integrity while playing the game of basketball. I am often told I have a calm attitude while maintaining a competitive nature. My freshmen year taught me a hard lesson. Due to the increased pace of the game, I fouled out in our play-off match. I was unable to help my team advance and made it my goal to become smarter and more effective as a point guard, not only offensively but defensively as well.

I am searching for a school where I can succeed academically. I am currently the top rank of my class and hope to work on a pre-med bachelor’s degree. My knowledge of basketball continues to improve as well as concepts and strategies involved in the game. I have strong peripheral vision that aids my court awareness. I feel my competitiveness, skills, attitude, perseverance, and leadership would positively be an asset to any program.
