Personal Statement
Hello and thanks for visiting my profile! My name is Madison Cawley (Maddie) and I will graduate in 2019. I am a combo guard for my high school, Lake Country Christian School in Fort Worth, TX. I have had a dream of playing college basketball since I first picked up a ball as a young kid and started to really learn the sport. My strengths on the court are ball handling, great overall floor vision and distributing the ball to teammates, great reaction time to get steals and tips, aggressive rebounder and defender. I am a passionate basketball player with a high level of determination, hustle and overall athleticism.
I also play for a club team, The WTBA Storm and have had the opportunity to play in many regional and national high level tournaments including the Basketball on the Bayou classic in New Orlean, Yellow Rose of Texas and the Super 64 in Frisco, TX.
As a team captain of my basketball team, I'm always trying to help lead my team to not only win, but also raise the level of play and make my teammates better as well. I currently have a 4.5 GPA and am ranked number 1 in my class and I understand the importance of having a strong work ethic both on and off the court. I continually strive to be the best that I can be and I view every day as an opportunity for me to improve my game.
