I'm Jade Haynes-Carroll, I like to play basketball because it helps me with leadership, courage, and sportsmanship. I have a passion for the game, though I have only been playing for a short period of time. I would like to continue to develop my skills at every level, the more I develop my skills the better asset for my team and the school as a whole. I want to take my skills as far as possible because I love the game. My happiest moments are when I'm guarding my opponent because I'm in control, along with the help of my fellow teammates. As I stated previously, the game of basketball allows me to feel free; I would like to play in college because it will help me stay focused on track. Instead of partying I will be focused on academics and basketball.
I'm very compatible with others, I love helping my teammates get the best experience of what we love to do. I have very good ball handling skills. I feel that when we all focus on the game as a team, we can accomplish great things. I have a great way of working with coaches and taking constructive criticism. It helps not only me but the team as a whole evolve. As I continue to develop my skills, I would like every opportunity to show my capabilities.
Thank you for giving your time to read my statement.
Sincerely, Jade Haynes-Carroll
