Avery McConnell '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing sports ever since I could walk.  Although I played both soccer and basketball through the 8th grade, I knew basketball was really my passion and wanted to strive to perfect my game.  So at the beginning of my freshman summer I began focusing solely on basketball.  I have been a starting point guard/shooting guard my freshmen through junior years.   As a point guard I understand what it means to be a leader and strive to make the players around me better.  I am a fearless competitor, an excellent shooter, smart in transition and have a high basketball IQ.  I am hard-working and disciplined not only on the court but also in the classroom.    I am currently in the top 10% of my class with over 500 students.   I take my academics very seriously.    I would love the opportunity to continue my education  and to play the game I love in college.  I know,  if given the opportunity, I would be an asset and could make an impact.
