Valerie Lopez '18 Recruiting Profile

I have always wanted to play basketball at the next level and with my hard work and dedication, I believe I can achieve that goal. I have been playing since I was in Kindergarten and I've loved it ever since. I plan to attend a University that best fits my academic preferences as well as being a big factor on the court. As being a point guard for a team, I know it takes leadership skills and constant communication on the court to be that better player. I will always give 110% in everything I do whether its on the hardwood floor or in the classroom. Throughout my basketball career my height may have worked as a disadvantage, but I never allowed that to throw off my game. Speed, talent, and my IQ towards this sport have allowed me to compete with stronger and better teams. I am also a strong believer in team ball whether its to make the extra pass or to look up and find the open player. I am a competitive athlete who plays with heart and my goal is to learn, compete and play with the best opponents out there.
