Hi, my name is Danika Aristide, I have played basketball since the age of six years old. It has been my inspiration to play basketball since age six years old. It is my dream and goal to play basketball on the collegiate level as well as for the WNBA. I realize that competing in basketball on a collegiate level and WNBA requires determination, hard work, sacrifice, practice, studying, learning and guidance.
I believe that pursuit to fulfill my dream, aspiration, and goal started when I was six years old have pushed me to continue to strive to constantly make improvements, challenge myself on the court as well as off the court in my academics and being a better person. I am not a person that complains or makes excuses whenever I make mistakes. I utilize the mistakes for a growth opportunity and learned a lesson. I do not complain because I realize complaining causes you to lose focus on the importance of succeeding and changes the focus to the issue(s) and not the dreams, aspirations, and goals.
In school I study and actively participate in my classroom learning environment to maintain a good GPA. I am a good role model, leader on the courts as well as off the basketball court, a team member and last year I was a member of the Science Robotics’ Club.
I anticipate attending a university where I can continue to push and challenge myself in academic and in basketball. In am open to all opportunities and options for fulfilling my dream, aspirations, and goal for playing basketball on a collegiate level and WNBA.
