Personal Statement

***********I am Officially Committed**********

I am a hard-working person both academically and athletically going into my Senior year at Bridge City High School.  I recently moved from Port Neches-Groves. I am a multi-sport athlete.  I play volleyball, basketball and track. Sports have taught me; teamwork, goal setting & commitment to name a few life lessons. I am looking for a college that best fits me academically and athletically.  I have set a goal to play basketball at the collegiate level and I am working on my game to meet that goal.

I am a "team first" player!  I played with an AAU team, SETX Elite out of Silsbee, Texas three years ago. It was my first year to play select basketball. My team ended up ranking 1 out of 69 teams in PrimeTime standings.

I have been playing basketball since I was 7 years old. I have always played up two or more age divisions while growing up.  My 7th Grade Year I had a total of 192 points in 14 games. My 8th Grade year I had a total of 221 points in 15 games. I had a season high of 21 points in two different games in 8th Grade. My 9th grade year I started on JV for two games, then was moved up to Varsity. I played basketball for Port Neches-Groves for my whole ninth grade year and my family and I moved in the middle of my sophomore season.  I had a great two seasons with PN-G. I am a  currently playing basketball at Bridge City, and I am on Varsity playing guard or wherever the coach needs me.  I can pretty much play wherever you need me to play.  With hard work, dedication, communication, and leadership, I believe I have what it takes to be a good asset to your team!

  • Notes: My name is Raynisha Washington and I have had the privilege of coaching Miss Morgan Louvier along with the South East Texas Elite basketball team this year. I have played basketball at every level and the leadership that Morgan displays has the potential to excel at any level and in any arena in life. She is very coachable which is a characteristic that translates into her work ethic. The assignments I give her during practice and in the games are challenging and timely and she always steps up to them with readiness. I know that she will be focused and successful because she has a desire to learn and improve daily. Sincerely, Raynisha Washington

  • Notes: It is with a pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Morgan Louvier. My name is Samara Bean and I have had the opportunity to coach Morgan in Basketball for the past two years at Port Neches Middle School in Port Neches, Texas. Morgan is a very talented young athlete who exhibited an advanced skill level in the sport of Basketball. Morgan has been an outstanding ball handler and passer for our program. She is also a great shooter and has led her team in scoring for the past two seasons. While playing in 7th and 8th Grade, Morgan has shown her ability to lead her team on the court with both her physical skill and mental knowledge of the game. Morgan is very energetic and has a strong will to lead her team and push herself to a high level of play. I believe Morgan has been and will continue to be an asset for any team that she plays with. I am sure that Morgan will go as far as she desires in the sport of Basketball and I have the utmost confidence in her as an athlete. Sincerely, Samara Bean
