Personal Statement
I can't imagine going to college and not continuing to play the sport I love. Basketball has taught me so much about myself. It has helped to develop my character, leadership skills, and ability to work with others. It has taught me how to be committed and work hard. It has taught me that even though I am naturally athletic, there is always a chance that there is a better athlete or team out there and I have to work hard every day to get better and compete on and off the court. That attitude has spilled over in the classroom and in every day life. I may not always win or make the highest grade, but it will not be because I didn't work hard or try.
I moved to Jim Ned to be a part of a great basketball program. It is one of the top basketball programs in the state. I left my friends and everything I'd known behind in order to get better at my sport. I have learned so much from my coach that I know will be an asset to any college program.
My current stats are not indicative of what I can do on the court. My junior year was tough. I struggled with my new role on my team. But the bottom line is, I'm a senior now and I'm ready to play ball and help my team go to state! If you have questions about this, please ask! Thank you for your time.
