Personal Statement
I’m the youngest of four siblings. There’s a fifteen year age difference between my oldest sibling and I. I have seen how hard work and dedication can get you everything you set your mine to. My parents and siblings work ethic has helped mold me. I now strive for success. I’ve been interested in basketball since Kindergarten. As soon as someone passed me a ball, it just clicked, i knew this was something I wanted to pursue. Growing up I’ve always been an optimistic person. No matter if it’s playing sports, school, or just everyday things, I keep my head up and always stay true to myself.
Throughout High School, I strive to keep my GPA high enough to be in the top five percent of my class. In college, my goal is to follow both my parents footsteps and be on the Deans List. When it comes to basketball, I am constantly overcoming, and fixing my game. The two biggest things I’ve overcome are my confidence and nerves. Being the smallest on the court used to mess with my confidence and make me scared, but playing more experienced girls has helped me. Now I’m calmer than ever. As a player, my top characteristics are my passing vision, accuracy, and my shooting ability.
