Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Alli Mayeux class of 2018.
In 9th grade I transferred to Riverdale High in Murfreesboro, TN. Due to TSSAA rules I had to sit out my 9th grade year because I played varsity in 8th grade. That was a long year and I could not wait to get back on the floor. In the meantime, I worked hard in the gym and continued to train. I cheered on my teammates from the sidelines and counted down the days to play summer ball.
2015 was my first year really playing for Riverdale and I was 6th man all season. My coach tried a smaller set in the middle of the season against lesser opponents in which I did not play as much, and my stats reflect that. In all the games that were a challenge, I played minutes like a starter. It felt so great to be on the floor with my team!
Riverdale has some highly ranked players, I became more of a role player at times this year. I had several 12 point games and a 14 point game. I can score when my team needs me, and play D. Some games I may only touch the ball 5 or 6 times on offense. Always being a main player in the past, it was not always easy to be less involved on offense, but I am a great team player and more than willing to do whatever my team needs from me to win. I now have two high school championship rings, and Riverdale is heavily favored to win state in the next 2 years and I plan to be a part of that!
I work hard off the court as well, education is very important to me, As a freshman I ranked #1 in my class for 2014-15 school year, and have had straight A's in high school so far. Being that I'm only sixteen, I have not decided what I want to do for the the rest of my life I am interested in Law, Medicine, and possibly criminal profiling. I'm finding it difficult to make my decision, but whatever I choose I will be the best at it.
Thank you for your time!
