I want to be a neurosurgeon or a neurologist when i get older because my older brother has cebral palsy and epilepsy. I have seen firsthand how the brain can affect people and I want to be able to help people to my best ability.
I have struggled with many illnesses and hardships. This year, i had chronic appendicitis all throughout basketball season and 3 months after that. At the time, I did not know it was appendicitis and doctors could not figure out what was wrong. I went to every practice all season, but I was throwing up all my food because my appendix was rejecting it. I lost 20 pounds in 4 months. It was a hard time but I overcame surgery and I overcame people telling me there was nothing wrong. I also kept my grades above a b+ during that 7 month period. I feel like this shows how dedicated I am, I always work hard and I am a great leader. I truly love basketball.
