Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Kassidy Bennett and I am a small forward/shooting guard who loves to work hard and hustle. I’m a firm believer that in order to attain any of your dreams, on and off the basketball court, you have to work hard for it. Nothing gets handed to you.
I attend U-32 high school in East Montpelier Vermont. I will be playing AAU for the highly regarded Lone Wolf Athletics out of Burlington, Vermont beginning spring 2018.
I have never been someone to shy away from a challenge or step out of my comfort zone. While all of my peers have made the choice to play for local AAU teams, at the end of my freshmen year I made the choice to look outside of Vermont for AAU opportunities to challenge myself and grow as a player. I started making 5 hour round trips down to Portsmouth, New Hampshire to play basketball for the NH Spartans and I am excited to be making the transition to Lone Wolf Athletics for the spring. I believe that the only way to be considered a student athlete is to be both student and athlete. Both my academics and athletics are extremely important in my life. I take the game of basketball and school very seriously and apply the same work ethic from the court to the classroom. It’s crucial to me that I attend a school that fits my needs and wants both academically and athletically.
I feel that what sets me apart from most people is my determination, work ethic and competitiveness. I have had to work to attain everything in my life. In practice, I try to win every drill and every competition. I take pride in outworking those around me. I will work and push myself out of my comfort zones because if you stay within your limits you will never get better. I pride myself in doing what others are either unable or unwilling to do to achieve my goals.
