I am truly a student-athlete that looks to challenge myself both on and off the court. My junior year I took AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP U.S. History, Physics Honors, English Honors, and Spanish 4, and earned a 4.7 GPA (and a 4.292 overall GPA). As a senior, I am taking AP Chemistry, Multivariable Calculus/Matrix Algebra, AP Micro/Macro Economics, AP Government, AP Spanish, and English 12 Honors. I have earned a 1460 on the SAT and a 32 on the ACT but am looking to raise those scores.
I play and train for basketball year-round, knowing that I need to work harder than anyone else on the court because of my size. I value my improvement, and am committed to improving my shooting, especially my threes and my free throws. Typically, I am faster than 90 percent of those on the court. While I use my speed to my advantage, my greatest attribute is my ability to play smarter. I must be smarter to make up for my size. I am an adaptable, quick learner with excellent court vision and an ability to control the pace of the game.
My goal is to find a college with both strong academic and basketball programs. I want a basketball program where I will develop my skills and contribute to the team. I have been fortunate to be part of a program that values team work above individual statistics, and I hope to find a college program with similar ideals.
