Joy Brandenstein '23 Recruiting Profile

I attend Shorewood High School in Shoreline, WA and will graduate in 2023. I currently have 3.95 GPA. I am a point guard/guard and enjoy this position because I like setting up my teammates for success.  I have played basketball every year since I was five.  Since 3rd grade I have played on AAU teams.  Over the years my coaches have noted that I am fast, have good court vision, am coachable and take excellent care of the ball. I regularly make assists, am disruptive on defense and often rebound against players much taller than me. I am known for being a composed player who stays calm in stressful situations. I like the team aspect of basketball and look for ways for the team to succeed. I don't look for the limelight, but I like being part of a winning team that works well together. I work hard and keep my commitments.  I will be looking primarily at schools in the Pacific Northwest but am open to opportunities in the Western U.S.
