My collegiate goals are to play basketball for a college that feels like home, and I want to make sure the team is a second family to me. I want the coaches and staff to feel like they are always there for me, and I want my teammates to be my sisters. I make a good candidate to be a part of their team because I have gone through hard obstacles, and I would work as hard as I possibly could to get better and play on a team. I am different from others in terms of character, athletics, and academics because I'm not afraid to be myself in front of strangers.
Playing college ball has been a dream of mine since 2nd grade. I've worked hard in the off seasons to improve my skills. I've participated in many camps and summer league games. Currently, I am in an student sports training program at Southwest Health Center called EDGE. It focuses on speed, strength, core, mobility, agility, mental toughness exercises, and drills. It overall has improved my health, endurance, and my ability to handle tough situations in a game. I spend a lot of time in the gym working out and on my game. Most people consider me a "gym rat".
Regarding academics, I have doubled up on math and science classes the last three years with the overall goal in mind to take the AP classes that would prepare me for college. I also intend to take the ACT at least twice. I will be taking several AP classes my Senior Year. I rank in the top 75% in my class for GPA and extra curricular involvement.
