Hi, my name is Mercedi Lapacek and I’m a sophomore at Poynette High School. Growing up on an apple orchard, I have learned the value of hard work and I have implemented it in all aspects of my life including basketball. My sister who is a year younger than me, shares this value of hard work with me and having her to compete with everyday has been one of the main reasons I’ve had so much success. I’ve played basketball for 9 years and I have learned to love it. Basketball brings so many people together and pushes people to become the best they can be and my dream is to continue playing basketball in college. I love to build new and strong relationships especially with teammates who share my love of the game and I am a very coachable player.
