Personal Statement

I am an extremely motivated individual on the court, the soccer field and in the classroom. I have earned a 4.0 GPA or above every semester of high school while taking advanced placement courses, and I plan to do the same in a pre-medical program at the university I choose to attend. My academic achievements also include being a member of National Honor Society and being a Spanish National Honor Society Nominee. Academics are very important to me when making my college choice.

As a PGC graduate, I’ve learned the importance of being a great teammate. I pride myself on connecting with all my teammates, being the hardest worker in the gym, and leading by example. It’s rewarding when I hear my teammates mention my ability to exhibit these characteristics as well as being a great leader with a positive attitude. I have confidence that I will continue to bring those assets to the collegiate setting in order to work towards success at the next level.

Individual and team success have marked my career playing basketball for Waunakee so far. As a freshman, I was moved up to varsity after leading my JV team to a 10-0 record to start off the season, and then earned solid playing time at the varsity level. Our team won conference, and we were regional champions. As a starter my sophomore year, I earned 1st Team All Conference,  Honorable Mention All Area, and I was voted Most Improved Player. I also led my team to another conference title. The past seasons of AAU I made multiple all-tournament teams as well.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
