My name is Dani Williams I am 16 years old, 5'10, and 136 pounds. I play every position for my team. Pointguard and power forward are my strengths. I am currently playing for the Colorado Chill traveling club team. As a freshman I was top 8 in the state of Wyoming the first time I ran the 400 meter dash. I love to compete in a number of sports, but my greatest passion is for the game of basketball. Since the fifth grade I've competed in many different sports. In track and feild I have won numerous races, and had great success with the highjump and longjump. I am third all time in my school for the timed running record during basketball tryouts. I also hold the all time running T test ( a timed agility drill) record out of all the grades in the highschool. My vertical is 24 inches, I squat 210 pounds, and clean 140 pounds. My most important accomplishments are earning a starting position on the Varsity team as a sophmore in basketball. I did not get the opportunity to play all of the Sophmore year due to an injury. However I recovered at the end of season in time to help my team win the 4A State Championship. My Junior Season is currently under way. I have earned a starting spot on the varsity team, and do to my versatility I am fourtunate enough to be able to play all five positions. At our Annual Energy Classic Tournament, which included teams from California, Canada, Oregon, Washington,Wyoming, and North Dakota, I was named to the All-Tournament Team. One of the greatest contributions I offer to my team is my work ethic, leadership, and dedication, on and off the court. Off the court I currently have a 3.9 grade point average, and volunteer with various community service organizations. My junior year I was named to All- Conference and All-State. We got third place this season. Since the seventh grade my team has voted me Most Valuable Player, Best Hustler, and Team Leader. I am always the last to leave practice. I spend a great deal of time outside of practice working on my shooting, dribbling, and fundamentals. I ask my coach for films, and follow collge teams to become a better student of the game. I've played basketball since the third grade. Outside of my schools summer traveling team, I traveled with a team called the SlamDunks for three years. I attend many basketball camps over the summer, and have earned all star recognition at several of these camps including the Cross Training Camps. It is my goal and a dream to play basketball in college. I have to continue to make sacrifices to acheive this. I am open to attend any college, where I am able to compete, play basketball, and earn an education. My plan at college is to also pursue an education in Athletic Training. My faith life is also extremly important to me, because God has blessed me with gifts in basketball and in life. I try to work as hard as I can to Glorify Him through the game and in my everyday life. Realistic Goals for me is to play as a freshman, and start as a sophmore. I want to play at the highest level of basketball I can, and be a great asset to my team.
