Having a major setback with my leg injury in the middle of volleyball season and knowing that I could potentially not play my Junior year of basketball really got me thinking about what I wanted. I went to the doctor in Fort Collins, Colorado and got some bad news, I had Compartment Syndrome; resulting in surgery or sitting out and giving my leg a rest. Well we set a surgery date for as soon as possible, December 24, 2013 at 11:30 AM was when I went in for surgery. It was constant bike riding after surgery, people telling me I would not be back to play this season, but they were wrong. My first game back was January 31st, I scored 12 points and was a key player in that game. My goal for college is to advance my basketball and potentially maybe my volleyball career, I want to push myself as hard as I can to reach that point. Talk to my coaches, get film. get my footwork better, work on my free throws, work on my shot, and working on my post moves. I am a leader, I want to see my team succeed even sitting on the bench the 6 weeks after surgery. My grades are an important aspect in my life they motivate me for my sports if my grades good I can play. I want to get as much training as I can to get into the college sports, I want to advance my career, and most importantly I want to get better.
