Lucy Stiegler '25 Recruiting Profile

As long as I can remember I have been an athlete. My parents tell me when my kindergarten teacher asked what I wanted to be when I grow up, I responded "a champion".  Working hard to improve and to win has always been natural for me, I love to set personal goals and to achieve them.  I love being on a team, and watching how the performance of the entire team elevates when all players lift each other up and hold each other accountable.  I am excited for the next stage of my athletic career, and looking for coaches that will believe in me as much as I believe in myself, push me, teach me and train me to reach my full potential. 

Starting on varsity as a freshman for three different sports, soccer, court volleyball and sand volleyball, I understand what it means to be the youngest on a team, and to play with more experienced teammates.  I take direction well, have respect for more seasoned athletes, and am always pushing to grow.  Being a high level multi-sport athlete has taught me time management skills and has allowed me to maintain the highest level of conditioning, flexibility, speed and agility year-round.  I am so grateful to have found beach volleyball, and to feel confident now that my mental, physical and emotional style of athleticism is best suited for this sport. I love the sand, the culture, and the physical and mental demands of beach volleyball. I have sought as much playing and competing time as possible on the sand with my high school and my year round beach volleyball club, and cannot wait to play beach volleyball at the next level.
