Personal Statement
My collegiate goal is to study business/engineering and to focus on a career in business when I graduate. Athletically, I would love to be a contributing member of a collegiate beach volleyball team. I love to compete, and love team sports. My biggest asset is that I am a hard worker, and I am driven to be my best. I always try to be the athlete at practice that is the hardest working so that my team mates and my coach will trust in me during crunch time in a game. I am probably my happiest when I am at volleyball practice with my team mates, or even better, at a tournament.
I also push myself academically, and applied to our High School's Medical Academy which requires that students take AP science courses starting in 9th grade. I am surrounded by students who are very gifted academically, and it pushes me to do my best and try my hardest. It hasn't been easy to balance the academic and athletic requirements, but I have learned how to be proficient with my time, and try to stay organized so I can juggle it all.
I think the one thing I have learned from my athletic and academic experiences is how to keep pushing myself even when I'm tired and I want to give up, and to learn how to get back up and keep trying after a setback.
