Growing up in a family of performers made it so I never knew what was going to happen or where I would be traveling to until the day that it actually happened, The only thing I knew for certain was the fact that we would always be moving, traveling all over the world. When I finally “settled down” in a more permanent home, and had a more or less “normal” lifestyle, I began to attend Oaks Christian High School. There I fell in love with the community, the atmosphere, and something I never thought I would do, diving. I had done gymnastics for 8 years, always finding new gyms and coaches everywhere I went, since they did not have a gymnastics team I decided to try out for cheerleading. As I was walking towards my cheer tryouts, I saw the dive team practicing, flipping, and jumping so gracefully that it consumed me, so much so that I completely lost track of time and missed my cheer tryouts. The next day I bought a bathing suit and reached out to the coaches. From that day forth, my interest in diving has only grown. I worked with and lead my teammates and myself to compete in the CIF diving championship my freshman year and was elected team captain soon after. Working with and leading my teammates has given me endless joy. Even after I fractured my ankle at a practice and was unable to walk let alone compete or practice,I still continued attending practices and meets to support and help my teammates.
Ever since I was 11 I always wanted to open a restaurant. But it wants until I was a freshman in high school I pitched the idea of opening something innovative like a healthy food restaurant but I realized how common that was at the time. So I found something that was more innovative than opening a restaurant, and that was to open a food truck. A healthy and organic food truck that gave the option to anyone with a food allergy or vegan/ vegetarian preference.Excited about my new idea,we all began the project of constructing a food truck, creating the logo, making a website, finding routes to travel, and my favorite part the taste tests of the menu. A few months later in October of 2015 my food truck was up and running. I transferred from Oaks Christian School to the Oaks Christian Online School second semester of Junior year in order to launch and run the food truck. Currently I handle the business side of the food truck and try as much as I can to handle the culinary side whenever I do not have school.
