I’ve always been a hard-working, goal-driven athlete. I have devoted over 12 years of my life to gymnastics and continue to participate in the sport. I was very fortunate to join the diving team my freshman year with only the background experience of being a gymnast. I started my freshman year participating in varsity meets, this has allowed me to get the experience and partially wrap my head around what kind of diver I could become. In my freshman year, my coach had no other options but to put me in the freshman conference and I won 1st place, this motivated me to work even harder. My record came from 196.85 (6 dive) and 284.80 (11 dive), freshman year to 241.20(6 dive) and 408.5 (11 dive), junior year. I am a positive leader of the incoming diver and always try to demonstrate important athlete qualities such as how to keep a positive mindset, how to approach mental blocks, and accept input and apply it. Diving in college has grown to be a major part of what I'd like to find in a college experience and I would love to be a part of a varsity swim and dive team. I can't imagine my life without this sport and taking it into college would be a dream come tru
