Personal Statement
Ever since I was young, I have loved the adrenaline I get while flips in the air. At first, I was competitive gymnast for eight years, but I shattered my elbow after a fall on beam. Having been injured, I decided to dive, because I knew that I would have a good foundation for diving. Diving has taught me more than any sport ever could. For example, I have learned perseverance and to focus on the details. I believe I am a good candidate for diving in college because no matter what, I never give up. Although diving is extremely important to me, academics will always be my top priority.
