I love to dive. And, I have great backstory about my diving background (I started diving when I was 3 years old and have a great journey).
But I want to tell you who I am today and what my future plans are.
I’ve learned that diving is as much about my athletic ability, as it is about training diligence and mental toughness.
In June, I withdrew from USA Diving’s Zone Championship. It was the first time in almost 8 years that I did not dive in Zones (yes! I was 7-year-olds when I dove at my first Zones).
I made the decision because I was slightly injured. But, most importantly, I realized that I was physically and mentally not 100%.
It was a tough decision.
I took the time to rehab. I worked on my 05’s and twisters. I went to visit my family – something I never get to do in the summer.
I gained perspective.
I am prepared…
to be part of the college community
to excel in my undergrad studies
to be a great teammate
to be a great diver
to be the best version of me
This is my future plan.
