Personal Statement
Collegiate Goals and Aspirations...
I am looking to further both my academic career and athletic abilities at the highest level possible. I plan to study the fields of Business and English at a competitive institution. It's my intention to explore higher academic institutions that offer a broad array of opportunities, such as athletics, charity organizations and community service. Attending an institution of this kind will allow me to continue to expand my horizons in these areas. Once there, I look forward to trying new things and mastering skills in my diving to make me a better athlete.
Candidate for College...
My willingness to accept any challenge coming my way is what drives me to become the best student and athlete possible. Due to my ability to function this way, I have been able to conquer and master the corrections my coaches have given me. What makes me an excellent candidate for college diving is my capability to increase my athletic performance and my drive to do what it takes to succeed as an excellent athlete.
What makes me different...
Persistence and grit are what separates me from other collegiate candidates. There has never been a time where I have given up on something by always trying my hardest and seeing it through until the end. Persistence through sports and academics is what has allowed me to become an honor roll and three sport varsity athlete starting my sophomore year. My coaches, as well as friends, describe my tenacity and determination as what separates me from others, specifically in terms of leadership. Being a natural leader, with these characteristics, allowed me to be named captain of the varsity dive and field hockey teams in my sophomore year. My teachers, as well as fellow faculty, acknowledge my leadership skills by choosing me to be apart of extremely selective programs, like peer leaders, student ambassador and planning committee.
