Personal Statement
In college my goal is to obtain the education that will guide me into medical school as well as the opportunity to perform and commit to a sport at the collegiate level. I am a 4.0 student throughout both my high school and have participated in college courses. At my high school, I am fortunate to be one of 50 students selected to participate in the Health Occupations Career Academy. This academy provides students with extraordinary experiences that will help and teach them about the health field. I have been inducted into the National Honor Society and participate throughout many school functions. Throughout my studies I have received college credit for english, biology, math, psychology and elective studies. School has always been a number one priority for me and I hold myself to high standards. I have a broad variety of interests which includes welding. I competed in SkillsUSA during my sophomore and junior year in Intermediate Welding. During this competition I placed 11th and 13th and was one of few females in the competition. During my senior year, I competed in Nurse Assisting where I competed at the National Competition placing 13th. I am currently active in my church and in the community. High school and club sports have offered me many opportunities. While in high school I have participated in three school sports including diving, indoor track, and varsity soccer. Out of school I am a level 8 gymnast and compete with a local club team. I have been very successful in diving as I took 2nd at state as a sophomore and am currently a two time state champion as a senior. This year I was over 60 points ahead of the second place finisher. I was also named an All-American Diver and Scholar. In all of the activities I do I give 110% and strive to be the best I can be no matter if that is extra turns, time, or repetitions. Over the course of all my athletics, I have been prosperous in being injury free. College is very important to me and I am looking forward towards competing collegiately.
