Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is Brooke Beyer and I'm currently a Junior at Desert Ridge High School in Mesa, Arizona and will be graduating in the year of 2019. I take pride in everything I do on the golf course, in the classroom, and on stage. To start of, I was ranked 8th in the state as an individual for the girls high school state championship my sophomore year. Though I am striving to win the state championship my Senior year of high school. On the stage I continue to strive for excellence by playing the violin in the symphonic orchestra at my high school as an extracurricular activity. I truly enjoy it because it teaches me lessons for golf, like how to control nerves under pressure or the more work you put in the better the results. In the classroom, I take classes that challenge me by pushing me out of my comfort zone which helps me to learn how to work harder to get results. My most difficult classes this school year are Honors Spanish 3, Honors Anatomy and Physiology, and AP Language. Though theses classes are tough they are my favorite because they give me opportunities that other classes don't.
This past year I was honored to receive the 2017 Player Of The Year Award for the Junior Golf Association of Arizona for placing top 3 in 13 of my events and wining 8 of them. I make a great candidate for collegiate golf because I am self driven, hard working and fully committed in anything I do. This has been proven by my success in the classroom, on stage and on the golf course.

- Brought in the scores of a 78 and 73 to win by 6 strokes. This golf course is also where the Waste Management Phoenix Open is held in February every year.

- First day was played on the South Course and the second day was on the North though, the second day's scores were exempt due to a rain delay. Brooke won shooting a 75.

- This program consists of high skill level player looking to be given the tool to succeed and potentially go to college. The director of instruction, Justin Searles, has played and won many Web.com tournaments and more. Other coaches in the program played college golf, providing our current high schoolers information on what to expect.

- Justin Searles has had success with turning pro and playing Web.com tournaments to this day. J ustin was with Elite golf schools when it first started until this year he departed his own was over to Lone Tree golf club in Chandler, Arizona. I have been with Justin for only 5 months now even though we worked together briefly over at Elite. Together we have sat down and set goals that I am currently reaching. For example, shooting under par within 5 months. Justin Searles is very good at what he does and I plan on sticking with him for quite a while!
