Personal Statement

My goal is to go to a Division I or II school on a golf and academic scholarship. I have put in a lot of time practicing to reach my goal of becoming the number 1 on my Girls High School Golf team. My next goal is to become number 1 in the State in my division. I finished 12th overall my freshman year & 7th overall my sophomore year and made 1st team All-State. This year I finished 3rd overall for 6A, which qualifies me to play in the State Overall Tournament on October 13th, 2016. My main goal going into my Conference West & Conference State tournament was to make the State Overall Tournament and I did that.  I believe that I can do all things through God, if it be His will. I also know that if I can't out play you, I will out work you which in the end will enable me to out play you!  I am willing to put in the work and effort to reach my goals.

I am known to be hard-working, very coachable, and a quick learner. Being coachable is not a common characteristic to find in athletes and I think that is what sets me apart. Although I have only been playing competitively for 3yrs, I am catching up quickly to the girls that have been playing their whole lives. I have been practicing, taking lessons, and played a full tournament schedule this off season and spring. My goal was to get my average down to 78- 80 by the beginning of my Junior year and I have done that. My next goal is to get it to the low 70's by the beginning of my Senior year. I believe that I can accomplish this because I have the talent, the work ethic, and the support of my family and coach.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
