Personal Statement
I want to become a better player and discover how great I can be. I want to be a big contributor to my team and be a player my team can count on. I have always been a grinder. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease my sophomore year, in February. Before I was diagnosed I became really weak and constantly out of breath. I lost almost 40 yards off my driver distance, and my game wasn't there. But my sophomore season I put in a lot of work, while being sick and not knowing it. Even though my game was way off I qualified to Southern California Regional. By the time I was diagnosed I was playing JV basketball and it was mid-season. The doctor said I had to stop playing basketball and golf for awhile. The summer before my senior year I was working towards getting my strength and energy back. Then in July I picked up my clubs again and started working. I never put so much work in golf. I was almost starting over but it came back quickly. I started making good contact in early August and came back really strong with some good results pre-season and beyond last year in high school Golf. I won the Helen Lengfeld Golf tournament, the Lemoore high school invitational, the CMAC League championship tournament, the CIF Division III Central section title, and the CIF Individual Valley championship all in one season. The CIF title was won with a score of 1 under. Dealing with Graves taught me the importance of grinding when things get tough.
