Personal Statement
I remember the exact moment I fell in love with golf, it was somewhere around 2008 and Tiger Woods was on TV about to win the 108th U.S Open against Rocco Mediate in a sudden death playoff. I didn’t understand what the appeal of the sport yet. But I was sat in my living room with my dad who is a huge golf fanatic, I felt "it" that day. As Tiger Woods made his winning putt to win U.S Open I could hear a pin drop from the silence of the crowd to the roar of thousands of people including my dad as the ball sank to the bottom of the cup. It was excitement, passion in their voices a holistic roar for this game and from that day on I knew I was one of those voices.
I have been playing golf for 13 years now. I have faced trials and tribulations, successes and failures and have been able to constantly learn more about this game and myself. I am grateful for the process and hungry for more. I value the morals this game brings to the table and has helped shape me into the person I am on and off the course. I am fully committed to the work, discipline and teamwork for this journey.
