2023 Highlights Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Ella Kaiser and I am currently a Junior at Del Norte High School in San Diego, CA (Class of 2025). I am the captain of the varsity golf team and was honored to receive the MVP award this year. I started playing golf when I was six years old and have participated in numerous tournaments including Junior Worlds and the US Kids Championship at Pinehurst. My best score in a tournament is an even par 72. My best score for a high school match was a one under par 35 (9 holes). I truly believe in hard work, which has led to my golf game improving every year.
I strive to be a leader on and off the golf course. I love helping the girls on my high school team who were not as experienced with tournament golf. More recently, I started volunteering with a junior golf clinic teaching kids who are just beginning their golf journeys. This has been the most rewarding part of my golf career to date. Teaching kids the game of golf is something I see myself continuing in the future.
While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, I practice and play as much as possible. I have a younger brother who plays golf, and we enjoy competing against each other. Off the golf course I enjoy playing volleyball, hiking, sewing, and reading.

- I have attended the Butch Harmon School of Golf Junior Camp several times over the past few years. I met my previous swing coach, Vic Wilk, at this camp. I really enjoyed my time working with these great professionals, and of course, interacting with Butch Harmon himself. Probably one of my fondest junior golf memories is having Butch Harmon stand behind me and watch my golf swing.
