In my freshman, sophomore and junior year I also qualified as a BVAL Girls individual for the CCS Finals. In 2011 and 2012, I was recognized in the San Jose Mercury News for inclusion in the ‘Best in Fall Girls Team’. The last two years I was also the BVAL girl’s individual champion, shooting 71 (-2) and 69 (-4)
I have played Northern California competition golf in the JGANC (Junior Golf Association of Northern California) and NCGA (Northern California Golf Association) for five years, and during the 2012 season I was the JGANC co-player of the year, and year end Tournament of Champions Girls winner at Silverado CC, Napa, CA (Johnny Miller hosted). During the 2013 season I was the NCGA Junior Girls Champion (@ Spyglass, Monterey,CA) , runner up in the year end TOC and also a travel team member for the JGANC Jnr Americas Cup, NorCal team and Mary Cave.
I am also active in giving back to my local community by being part of a junior leadership program and volunteering at my local Catholic church. I also give junior clinics on short game skills.
My aspirations include improving my academic and athletic abilities. These are are my number one priorities. On the golf course I practice with a very focused mind set, paying close attention to my short game through to the full swing. In school, I am a very hard working student and currently have a 3.7 GPA.
One of my main goals is to play collegiate level golf in a competitive Division one NCAA school. I would consider myself a creative person, and I am working toward my goal of being successful in my academics which will allow me to major in business or graphic design. My plan is to attend a great college that helps me achieve these goals.
