My name is Bretton Mackiewicz and I’m 14 years old in the class of 2025. I am a freshman at Lake Brantley High School in Longwood, Florida and am looking forward to playing on my high school team in the fall. I fell in love with golf at the age of 7 during my first PGA Junior League season. I enjoyed wearing the jersey and being a part of a team, while learning along with my peers. Since then I have also participated annually in the First Tee of Central Florida and am currently Birdie certified. I fill my weekends with local junior golf tours and seek out opportunities to participate in the golf community. I am a First Tee/Girls Golf e-Leader and have a passion to pass on my love of the game to young players and I make time to even give lessons after school. :)
For the past 4 years, I have been a member of Arnie’s Army by making a team for Arnie’s March and raising money to help cure pediatric cancer at Arnold Palmer’s Hospital for Children. I love volunteering with the patients and their families. I fully embrace Arnold Palmer’s motto of living a “Life Well Played.” I take it to mean being well played in your attitude, your ethics and your ambitions.
For me, the hard work I put in to golf provides amazing experiences with my family and friends. I’m so grateful for all the opportunities golf has provided me so far.
